The economy is in dire straits and we along with a good part of the rest of the world, know in our guts, that neither Obama or McCain can save us. The last time we had a Clinton in the Oval Office, we enjoyed 8 years of peace and prosperity. This is a simple message: I'm proposing that we, the people, take back our own power from the two well greased political machines by putting a Clinton back in the Oval Office. This is perfectly legal even though it would be revolutionary. Every state has a space on the presidental ballot for a write in vote, so we can write in "Hillary Clinton". Hillary not only won the popular vote in the race for the democratic nomination, she won the delegate votes as well, but the DNC (Donkey National Committee) cut a dirty deal with that green-horn poof, Barack.
I would not vote for such an inexperienced poof to run this country anymore than I would go to an equally inexperienced surgeon regardless of how much he told me he could/would do.A friend said, "Oh, that would be another Ralph Nader splitting the democratic party". Not so. There are as many republicans as democrats who want pre-Bush economic stability. I'm recommending this extreme measure because of the urgency of this emergency. The stock market is the vital signs of this patient(our nation) and the financial world doesn't have confidence that either candidate can stabilize the economy, and neither do I: A tired old warrier and a virtual unknown with worrisome associations, are the choices the political parties have shuffled off on us---both extremes!
SOLIDARITYMy inspiration for praying we do this is taken from a story I heard Lech Walesa tell when he spoke in Houston at a World Affairs Council meeting in the Junior League building. At a Polish Solidarity meeting in the late 80s, following 8 years of brutal Soviet persecution, members of Solidarity had fallen a few votes short of voting to end Soviet oppression once and for all. Mr. Walesa gives credit to a Polish nurse who, upon seeing this, stood at the door and convinced the Polish Patriots that they could do it, so they took another vote, and in so doing, turned the tide of history. I wish I could remember the nurses name, but even if I could, I probably couldn't pronounce it.In the Spirit of turning the tide of our own future/history, I propose we walk into the voting booths, leap right over the stuff of organized politicians and write in "Hillary Clinton". We know who Hillarys' number one ally is and we know what his past success was with the economy.
My sons' headmaster, Dr. Jesse Borg at Episcopal High School said, "The number one predictor of future success is past success".
